My 1st official act as a blogger…

It is about time I retire my winter coat. It’s an Old Navy peacoat from five years ago and it looks worn. It used to be black, now the color could be called a really faded black-gray. Also, it was not as warm as it could have been and everyone knows I am that girl that gets cold easily. And because I will be up in Pa every other weekend or so, I might as well jump on that coat-wagon.

I love this Ben Sherman coat:

(from South Moon Under)
It comes in black as well, but I think the ivory stands out. I’m a little afraid to try it on since I have a feeling that I will look a little more like someone with no neck and a little less like Grace Kelly. Also I’m afraid that I will love it to death and I will throw all of my winter clothing budget out the window for one coat.

Besides the funnel neck uncertainty, I adore the rest of the coat. The buttons, the way the sleeves are done, and perhaps most importantly, it looks like the pockets are flaps and hidden. For some reason I cannot stand the kind of coat pockets that  you can actually see. It is a very nit-picky thing and it drives whoever is shopping with me crazy. I’ve rejected so many coats, just on the basis of the pocket.

For example:

Don’t get me wrong, I think the coat is cute, but the visible pocket? Nein, nein, nein.
Eh, the search continues…
